My kind of Sexy

Yesterday, my girl friend who I shall only reveal as M (ends with the letter A, and rhymes with paprika and America) enlightened me that she thought a particular man we met, was to my surprise, out of all adjectives, "sexy". Truthfully, in my eyes, he was down the opposite end of the spectrum. Now, this made me think. 'Sexy' must be different for every individual. Is there such a thing as 'universally attractive'? I had always assumed there was a universal sexy, a la Johnny Depp. But maybe it doesn't exist? So I thought to myself, what is sexy to me? And compared it with the 'universally attractive traits' noted by experts who studied people across cultures.

Experts do say, square jaw in men.
But I'm attracted to a narrow sharp jaw-line, or what I call a juvenile chin (Nay, Brad Pitt)
Experts say, facial symmetry.
But I like a little bit of asymmetry.
Experts say, indications of being bright-eyed, or wide-awake.
But I like tired-looking men. Puffy, eye bags, dark circles, sunken cheeks, the whole package. Very sexy and fatiqued.

Earlier this year I had revealed my fascination for model, Dan Kling. (I actually believe he outshines Freja Beha Erichsen in their fashion editorial Modern Love in Interview, August 2010) Clearly, there's something about musician slash model thing I can't get enough of. I just seem to always had a soft spot for handsome artists and musicians. Dan Kling's stunning ethereal facial features, and 'the boy in the band' factor, has won my heart.

Male-models are a bit under-represented. So here, I introduce to you a recent discovery. Dan Kling, is up there on my favourite male models list. He might actually be my favourite! The moment I first laid my eyes on him, I was intrigued by his stark, oddball beauty. I seem to be drawn to certain types of models - tall, slender, juvenile jawline, feline features, long neck (and a protruding adam's apple in male-models). Like how every designer has a certain 'look' they like when it comes to model castings. Dan Kling is a Swedish 16 year old from Major Paris. He is a musician in an indie-rock band Go Fly a Kite. Clearly, there's something about musician slash model thing we can't get enough of. Or it's just me. Still a fresh face, Dan has stirred up something of a frenzy amongst international agencies wanting to sign him up.
