Monthly Recap: August '11

Laundry list of things memorable this month:
Participating in Sydney Design Festival 2011, and having my work exhibited at Gaffa Gallery.
Aunt and uncle visits Sydney whilst on a business trip.
My Hollywood muses, Carey Mulligan and Leonardo DiCaprio is in Sydney filming Baz Lurhmann's The Great Gatsby.
Weekly tuesday family night.
One Conference and John Piper. I have one life, and one saviour. Opening my eyes to see that life is too short, too fragile, and too final.  I want to live and un-wasteful life, hanging on to the eternal treasures!
Mary Poppins, the supercalifragilistic, practically perfect musical. (Next musical? Annie!!!!)
7 weeks into the semester and I still have the back-to-school-blues. Sigh...
A fail, and a distinction.
Movie Night. Facing the Giants, large projector screen, choc-top ice creams, and Mountain Dew that's lost its fizz.
Brother moves out to his own nest. Who's bed am I going to jump on now?!
Signing up for "Get fit for life".
Days and days of splitting headache -which I suspect is caffeine withdrawal symptom, due to brother taking his coffee machine (mentioned above) and this.
Major procrastinating. Watching Bones season 1-3. And anticipating the new season of Mad Men and Downton Abbey. Hurry up!

Currently obsessed with:
Minimalism.
Lee Dong-wook.
Collars.
Lemon tarts, mmmmm...
John Piper podcasts.
Baking.
about spotting one of these A-listers in Sydney: Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Alexa Chung, Orlando Bloom, Blake Lively, Isla Fisher.

Books read(ing):
One Day - David Nicholls
The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - J. K. Rowling
Mere Christianity - C. S. Lewis
(My best motivation for reading books I meant to read a long time ago, or re-reading, is a movie release of the book.)

Music stuck on repeat:
Beverley Hills - Weezer
Oxford Comma - Vampire Weekend
This is War- 30 Seconds to Mars
Save the World - Swedish House Mafia
You are so beautiful - Junsu

3 Things I am thankful for this month:
John Piper.
Open-door Family. My second family.
My life, every day and every breath.
